Located at 7010 S Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60629, Buffet City operates as a chinese restaurant serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 AM–9 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. I had a very disappointing experience at Buffet City. While I was getting my food from the buffet, I saw a roach. I immediately lost my appetite, put my plate down, and left without eating. It was very upsetting, especially in a place that’s supposed to maintain clean food service areas. This was my personal experience, and because of it, I won’t be returning. I hope the restaurant addresses its cleanliness so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

This place has such an amazing variety of foods 🍜πŸ₯’! I especially love that they have crab legs πŸ¦€βœ¨. The food is always fresh and tasty πŸ˜‹. I come here all the time because it’s just that good! Honestly, I think it’s the best Chinese buffet around compared to all the other buffet spots in the area πŸ†πŸš. Definitely a go-to place for a satisfying meal! 🍀πŸ₯‘

I had a pretty nice experience having dinner at this buffet restaurant 😊. While the selection wasn’t very wide-especially when it came to the fruit section πŸ‰ I think it might be because of the holiday season, and maybe they weren’t fully up and running yet. One thing that stood out was the atmosphere. It felt quite cold inside ❄️, and a lot of guests were still wearing their jackets, which made it a bit uncomfortable and less cozy than expected. Despite that, I still enjoyed my time there overall πŸ‘. The food I tried was tasty, and I especially loved the plantain and the fried shrimp 🍀 those were definitely the highlights for me! Even with a few downsides, it was still a fun dining experience πŸŽ‰

When we went, it was extremely crowded because it was Easter Sundayβ€”and of course, many people go out to eat after church, so it was absolutely packed. That said, the food is always greatβ€”super tasty and delicious. There’s plenty of seating, and the staff does a wonderful job keeping everything clean and organized. They’re constantly clearing tables, and everyone is very friendly. Since it’s an Asian restaurant, some staff members may not speak much English, but they still communicate well enough to provide good service. The food is always served hot and is consistently delicious. Sometimes they even serve ice cream, which is a nice bonus for dessert. Overall, it’s a very good place to eat, and I highly recommend giving it a try.
